| Don't Think Twice 3 |
1. Anne's Father writes to her saying how she can still make something of herself and of her life. 2. However Anne doesn't seem to pleased by the letter because it was written as if she was one of his clients. 3. Anne pretends like she's watching a soap opera and pretends that she is thousands of miles away. 4. When she goes to the weekly meetings, Anne learns a lot about LaNelle. 5. LaNelle's boyfriend wanted to marry her, but she refused because she doesn't want to end up like her mother, tired and old with a lot of kids.
• Why is Anne always so negative? • What does Anne's father do for a living? • Is LaNelle going to keep her baby? • If Dick asked Donna to marry him, would she say yes?
Linoleum (noun) - a floor covering ex. As Alice walked though the palace she admired the linoleum flooring. Subrogate (verb) - to put into the place of another ex. The housemaid subrogated the family's bath towels. Lockjaw (noun) - tetanus in which the jaws become firmly locked together ex. My older sister often held me in a lockjaw when I got on her nerves.
"We're all awakened before dawn on Sunday." (Pg#42) - Foreshadow "Her face looks frozen and white, like some kind of horrible mask." (Pg#49) - Smilie
Although Anne goes to the group meetings she isn't learning anything from them, if anything she is just making fun of the others in her head. |
